Prince's Mandee exhibits exceptional fleece qualities even at such a young age.
Her sire, Maple Brook Oro's Prince: A full Accoyo, snow white male with soft, fine yet very dense fleece. Hand-spinners gasp when they feel his fleece! At age 7, he is still only 23.9 micron with a CV of 19.3. Excellent conformation and bite. Incredible density, shearing 12.65 pounds of fiber in 2002. Prince's crias consistently retain under 20 micron fleece to their second shearing; they all have his dense, soft fleece.
In March 2006 a skin biopsy was done on Prince to check his fiber statistics. He tested an incredible 14.5 to 1 secondary to primary follicles and 72 follicles per square millimeter of skin. These stats are outstanding and place him in the top 5% of huacayas tested.
Mandee's fleece characteristics show an incredible crimp style much like her sire's and she appears to be dripping with bundling locks that shimmer with brightness.
